Sealing Boulders....?

I certainly have never done this myself, but I have a customer who wants to not only seal her driveway, but her boulders along its edge as well.

She wants to use an acrylic coating sealer, to get that wet look, on both driveway and boulders.

Any ideas/recommendations would be very apppreciative. I am concerned the boulders will have the same drawbacks as using this type of sealer on RW. I live in MN, so freeze/thaw is a huge issue here.

If using a quality sealer, you should be OK. But like all natural stone, you should test the sealer on a few to make sure the boulders won't "shead" the acrylic.

Would like to add that cleaning before sealing will remove dust, dirt and other loose particles and allow for maximum adhesionof the sealer.
