Hi to All,

I am a new member, just saw the website address on the back of a trade rag.
Where is everyone? Was hoping this would be a pave info. meca.

Peace,

Welcome aboard Rex Mann. The Forum is new and doesn't have too many members yet - but keep in touch as it will grow just as our industry continues to grow. Thanks for joining.

There may not be too many of us yet, but throw out any questions you have. Hopefully those who are part of the forum currently can help with questions you may have.

I'm new here too. I'm especially interested in all of your input on block splitters (http://www.beattykracker.com/) for retaining wall blocks and pavers.:)

We bought a paver/block splitter about 3 years ago from pave tech. i was unsure of the purchase with a $700 price tag. However with in the first job it proved to be an invaluable tool. I mostly use it for making my own corner units for wall stone and on the corner caps. Pave tech splitters seem to be the nicest design too.

After having sat in on many of your ICPI presentations I want to add my welcome on board. I know your addition will make the FORUM an even more valuable tool.

Rex,

I, too, was a student of an ICPI class you taught here in Cleveland a few years back. Hope all is well in sunny AZ. How's business? I remember you spoke about a lengthy CYA clause in your contracts, any chance I could check that out? Also, I've been accumulating some specialty tools over the last few years, but are there any that you feel are must haves in this business? I've held off on some of the pricier items because I don't have the sales volume or large scale jobs on a regular enough basis to justify spending big money on certain things. Also, some of the items look good on the pavetech website, but I'm not sure how practical they would be on the job. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rex,

Jeff
