I would like to put a patio in my yard in an area that occasionally has standing water after a big storm. My question is, how will SandLock hold up to being submerged for a day or two at a time. I know the idea solution would be to raise the patio 3 or 4 inches, but this is not an option. With spring hopefully not too far off I would appreciate any advice that you could give me. Thank you.

Maybe you should consider a koi pond rather than a patio!!!

First of all, your yard isn't properly graded. This is why you are seeing this standing water. If your paver installer is aware of this situation, they will be able to prevent this issue (beyond the normal 1/4" drop every foot). Or they should be able to at least greatly reduce it. Sandlock should work perfectly fine if your drainage issue has been addressed. I have seen backyards getting the raw deal from all their neighbors yards pouring into theirs. If this sounds like you, you might also want to take a look at the many permeable pavers out there. You would be amazed at the amount of water these pavements can handle without causing the submerging effect you are going through. If you are not familiar with this, check out their website at www.advancedpavement.com
They are the first and foremost experts in permable pavements, so that would be another option.
The only issue you would have with SandLock, is if the drainage issue wasn't resolved. In very small cases, mold could begin to grow, due to the amount of constant moisture. Hope that helps

If slope off the back of the house is an issue consider putting in a drain and daylight it it a long way away from the back of the house.
