Doing a backyard pool deck with a random pattern of 9x12, 12x12, and 12x17 The majority of the body of the pavement has been laid. Now I need to decipher the best way to transition the pavement over the fiber-glass wall that comes up and over the sides of the pool roughly 4-6".
#1 What is the best way to adhere the pavers? Mortar, Concrete Adhesive?
#2 Customer wants all joints sand filled. How do I keep sand in the joints of the large bull nose pavers that will be overhanging the pool about 2" around? If I use a sand stabilizer, how do I activate without material simply falling into pool? If I seal, how do I get the joint sand to bond if all the sand wants to do is fall through where there isn't bedding sand underneath?
#3 What do you recommend to do regarding transitioning to an aggregate base, to poured concrete that surrounds the pools edge (2-3' beyond the fiber glass)

Help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Okay sandman, question 1 is definately adhesives, There are many out there but the pool company may have suggestions to. If not check out pavetech and srw adhesives. I usually will use silicone to fill the joints because it is flexible. Again talk to the pool people because there are sanded versions in almost any color. If you are overlaying the concrete around the pool compact really well were the transition is and run geotextile over concrete and over the aggregate 3 feet. hope this helps and let me know about any more question reguarding this.
