I had someone that inquired about putting pavers on their wood deck. I don't think this will work due to moisture. If I put a plywood sheet down, then sand, then pavers wouldn’t this rot the wood? Has anyone heard of a product that would go under the pavers to keep the moisture off the wood or would this just end up making a pool type situation?

Is there any good way to put pavers on a wood deck to make a sort of patio? Would the weight be too much for a wood deck to support?
Any info would help..

Thanks, Deeds

TOO MUCH WEIGHT!!!! 100 sq ft of 60mm pavers weighs about 2800 pounds! I assume your deck is bigger than 10' x 10', so we are talking about even more weight. Don't do it.

Year and a half late, but look at VAST composite pavers. They can do exactly this without any fuss. Don't know how it all turns out, but just info perhaps you can use!
