Maybe someone can help with this one. A customer recently called and let me know that their new paver driveway has become marked with asphalt tire tracks. The subdivision where they live has just completed re-surfacing all of the roads with asphalt. As a result, every time this customer drives into his driveway he tracks tire tracks over his pavers.

Has anyone had any experience in dealing with this issue? And, if so, what is the best way of going about removing the tire tracks?

Try scrubbing the tracks with a mix of HOT water and simple green, then rinse with a heated pressure washer.

That's a great suggestion, Paver. I will let them know right away, and we'll see if it works. Thanks!

Are there any companies that you can recommend that manufacture heated pressure washers? Or is it simply a matter of running a hot water supply to a typical pressure washer (maybe through a basement stationary sink?).

Hotsy is a brand that comes to mind.

I haven't used a Hotsy, but I see them around. I have used DIMA hot pressure washers, but I don't think they are offered in the US anymore, or go by another brand name now?

While looking for answers I came across this:

No hot pressure washer needed...just a warm day... ;)

I haven't used that TS product, but after reading about it, you could probably follow the same process and use xylene (which is available at most box stores). If you get a chance to try both, let us know how it goes!

That would indeed be interesting. Xylene makes up only 1% of this product...so it would appear it is indeed something different...

Thanks for the info. I tried to view their MSDS, but when you click on the link "View MSDS", it just takes you back to their tech data sheet. Maybe there is toluene in there too? In any case, let us know how it goes! Post some before and after pictures if you can.

Paver, indeed, for some reason the MSDS is not showing up on the Techni-seal website. Neither do they have a link on the site to for pulling up all MSDS info...

What I found during my search earlier was from Canada. Here's the link for the MSDS...where I found the 1% Xylene:
