Wanted tool

Does anybody know much about the level with a plate attachment for leveling the sand for the next block when installing retaining walls, it was advertized in the hardscape magazine but I no longer see it.

I think you are talking about the stone screed, I know some guys that swear by them, I built my own for about 20$ compared to the $100-plus they wanted for theirs, I didn't really like it much but my engineering probably wasn't what I thought it was.
