Hi--
*Just had a flagstone patio installed.
*Existing patio was thin-set with mortar and an extension was "sand-set" using gator dust.
*Problem: mortar joints and gator dust between the stones have very different colors (mortar is a very light grey, almost white, and gator dust is a dark grey).
*Result: extension is very obvious and end result is very ugly.
*Patio was finished yesterday and contractor reassured me that once a sealant is applied and the gator dust dries out, the whole thing will look more even.
*Question1: Does anyone have experience building a similar type of extension to an existing patio, and if so can you confirm what my contractor said?
*If contractor's statement is incorrect, what can I do to fix this mess? :(
