View Full Version : Laying pavers up to wooden structures
We are sometimes requested to lay pavers right up to a wooden shed or other structures that may rot away due to trapped moisture. What is recommended ?
It is best to use a foil type of flashing when butting pavers against concrete, wood or other surfaces that will deteriorate over time due to constant moisture being present. The foil forms a barrier between the two surfaces. Some flashings have an adhesive backing, but for porous surfaces a primer has to be used with the adhesive. Otherwise an adhesive must be applied to the surface.
